While Summit's Compliance Department's primary duty is to ensure the highest levels of compliance with federal, state and industry rules and regulations, you will benefit from our consultative and proactive approach to brokerage and advisory compliance as well. All of Summit's compliance principals have worked in different brokerage sales capacities that provide a unique perspective in serving you. We will work with you to help ensure that your practice satisfies regulatory requirements as well as suggest best practices to help protect your business against potential customer claims.

Getting Started

Prior to joining the Firm, you will receive an orientation from one of our compliance principals to introduce you to the Firm's compliance program and requirements. Books and records, advertising and client communications, sales practice policies, and certain operational procedures are covered to ensure that you get off on the right foot.

Compliance Supervision

With a unique consultative and proactive approach to compliance supervision, Summit's experienced compliance principals can provide you with practical, real world guidance and assistance in these and other areas of importance to your business:

  • Two business day turnaround on standard promotional material reviews (e.g., newsletters, seminar materials, advertising, web pages, and brochures)
  • Transactional and account review and surveillance
  • Advisory account reviews
  • Reporting of direct business, outside business and outside account activities
  • Assistance with sales-practices issues
  • Direction for recordkeeping requirements
  • Advice on advertising and marketing matters
  • Help with branch supervisory activities
  • Periodic on-site branch reviews
  • Prompt trade review turnaround on transactions submitted through Docupace
